Avalon Charter School is pleased to participate in the Arizona Tax Credit program. This is a way for your donations to make a real impact on our students. The credit allows any Arizona taxpayer to make a donation to the school and claim a tax credit of up to $200 for individuals and up to $400 for joint tax returns. These donations benefit the students directly through field trips and other extracurricular programs.
Tax Credit FAQs
Do I have to have children enrolled in school?
No. Any Arizona individual paying state income tax can make a tax credit contribution.
How does this work on my tax return?
When you file your state taxes, you will record the tax credit contribution on Form 322 (downloadable from the State.) Individuals can claim the tax credit for any amount donated to the school up to $200. Married couples filing jointly can claim a tax credit of up to $400.
Who can make a contribution?
Contributions can be accepted from individuals. We cannot accept contributions from businesses or corporations. Any parent, relative, friend or neighbor who pays Arizona income tax can donate to our school and claim the tax credit as described above.
How do I make a contribution?
You can download the on-line form and mail in your contribution or drop it off at our school office. Forms are also available in our office. All contributions must be dated and turned in on or before by December 31st. The downloadable form must be completely filled in to guarantee credit for your contribution. You will receive a tax credit receipt from our school for your donation.
